The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) , who claims to be “…dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of our society” includes D. James Kennedy Ministries of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in the SPLC’s map of 917 “hate groups” operating in the U.S. due to the ministry’s biblical stance on sex being legitimate only between a married man and woman.

Additionally included in the list of “hate groups” for their “anti-LBGT” views are Liberty Counsel of Orlando, Florida, American College of Pediatricians of Gainesville, Florida, and the American Family Association of Tupelo, Mississippi.
