[1] Erskine College Placed on Probation after Failing to Meet Accreditation Standards
COLUMBIA, S.C. Erskine College, which has spent the past two years under sanction for governance and financial management failures, has been placed on “probation with good cause,” but will remain fully accredited, officials announced Tuesday, 10 September 2024. The designation, according to the conservative Christian college’s accreditor, is imposed when an institution has failed to demonstrate compliance with accreditation standards after a two-year monitoring period, but nonetheless makes a persuasive case that it is moving in the right direction.

A presbytery employee in Idaho Falls, Idaho, who was accused of embezzling over US$330,000 from a church organization has received her sentence.
In May, police arrested Kaitlyn L. Fisher, 31, while she was working for the Presbytery of Kendall—a church organization overseeing at least twelve eastern Idaho Presbyterian churches.

DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa [TND] — The case of a missing 8-year-old girl from Pennsylvania, whose remains were found in 1975, was solved.
Authorities in Media, Pennsylvania charged 83-year-old David Zandstra with criminal homicide, murder of the first, second, and third degree, kidnapping of a minor and the possession of an instrument of crime, nearly 50 years after Gretchen Harrington was murdered.
