A 6 April 2010 article by Don Clements in The Aquila Report titled “Erskine College Lawsuit Decision Appears to Favor Plaintiffs, but Judge Needs More Time” reports that “the judge who held the last hearing on the Temporary Restraining Order [TRO] against the Synod, extended the TRO awaiting final drafting of an injunction.”
If a permanent injunction is issued in favor of the plaintiffs, the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church General Synod would be blocked from implementing the changes at Erskine College and Theological Seminary approved at the March 2010 called meeting of Synod until at least such time as a trial can be held at the Abbeville, South Carolina courthouse, whose trial docket has no openings for almost one year.

A 3 April 2010 Business Alert broadcast on Fox News subtitled “Health Care Reform will Setup Ready Reserve Health Corps” features Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst, Judge Andrew Napolitano, reporting that the Health Care Bill recently signed into law by U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama contains provisions to set up a 6,000 member ready reserve Health Corps that will be trained by the military, and at the U.S. President’s discretion, be given military powers.
Judge Napolitano additionally reports that the Health Care Bill now lets the U.S. President for the first time take authority over National Guard units away from state governors, against the will of state governors, during peacetime.
Judge Napolitano questions the need for a separate health care army, pointing out that if the U.S. Government required more physicians, that the U.S. Public Health Service and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control could hire more doctors.
