Education To Transgenderism Is Not Common Sense but Is Nonsense

So much of the Leftist thinking in America is pure nonsense, yet many in the education world applaud it and practice it, as if it is the gospel truth. One of the many ways of thinking is the thinking behind transgenderism!

This subject has become dominant in the education of our youth, and it can be observed from and in how many educational curriculums have become the promotion of sexual confusion rooted in ideologies designed to destroy the values of our Judeo-Christian society and that promote nothing but pure nonsense.

Men are men because of sex chromosomes, and women are women because of sex chromosomes. This can not be changed.  

Sex chromosomes are chromosomes, or packages of DNA, that are found inside the nucleus of all of your cells. There are two different kinds: X and Y, which determine whether you’re biologically male (XY) or female (XX). Chromosomes themselves are made up of proteins and DNA that carry your genetic information from cell to cell. 

When an egg is fertilized, the egg itself always contributes an X chromosome, while the sperm can contribute either an X or a Y.  Sex chromosomes are the genetic elements that define a person’s biological sex. But there are other genes and things in the environment that may play a role as to whether a person identifies as male or female, or even neither.

This study, part of which is copied below shows something we should all know: The study from the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law finds that eighty-one percent of transgender adults in the U.S. have thought about suicide, forty-two percent of transgender adults have attempted it, and fifty-six percent have engaged in non-suicidal self-injury over their lifetimes.

Using data from a U.S. Transgender Population Health Survey, researchers examined the prevalence of hazardous drinking, problematic drug use, serious psychological distress, suitability, and non-suicidal self-injury between transgender and cisgender adults. Results from this study, which is the first national probability sample of transgender people in the U.S. support previously reported findings that showed significant disparities in health outcomes for transgender as compared with cisgender Americans.

While transgender and cisgender adults reported similar rates of hazardous drinking and problematic drug use, transgender people were significantly more likely to experience poor mental health during their lifetimes. Compared to cisgender adults, transgender adults were seven times more likely to contemplate suicide, four times more likely to attempt it, and eight times more likely to engage in non-suicidal self-injury.

The rates of suicidal ideation and self-injury among transgender people are alarming—particularly for transgender nonbinary adults,” said study author Ilan H. Meyer, Distinguished Senior Scholar of Public Policy at the Williams Institute. “A lack of societal recognition and politically motivated attacks on transgender individuals, increase stigma and prejudice and related exposure to minority stress, which contributes to the high rates of substance use and suitability we see among transgender people.”

In a booklet entitled, “How Communists Stole American Education” the author, Dick Raddatz, presents a good case.  Now, the Communists are not by any means alone this process, as much of it developed from the removal of the Prayer and Bible reading from our Public Schools, something that promoted positive, moral, and disciplined values as a part of education. But Raddatz hits this truth we should see as it being an attack not just on schooling, but leading to the attempt to dissolve the nuclear family and to undermine the Judeo-Christian values.  This is an attempt to destabilize the West by the Communist ideology to the demise of Christianity, whch has been basic to the foundation in all our nations in various degrees in the Western world.

Their means of attack on our Judeo-Christian standards are attempts to transform our schools into sexual indoctrination camps by things like: “Having drag performers read LGBTQ+ books to students, have school libraries provide pornographic books, have biological males enter girls private spaces, have men play against real women in sporting events, have minors take hormones that will permanently sterilize them, have kid remove their breasts, testicles and genitalia, have teachers help kids in gender transition from their parents, and even to have kids to be removed from parents who don’t affirm the so-called new gender that these indoctrinated kids might feel is their true selves.”

What Does the Bible Say About Transgenderism? 

When it comes to transgenderism, the Bible actually has a lot to say—not by a proof-text here or there but by a rich and pervasive understanding of gender and sexual identity.  The Bible teaches that God made us male or female, and no matter our own feelings or confusion, we should act in accordance with the biological reality of God’s good design. Transgenderism falls short of the glory of God and is not the way to walk in obedience to Christ. The Bible knows no other gender categories besides male and female. Likewise, the eunuchs in Matthew 19 do not refer to sexless persons, but to men who were born without the ability to procreate or who were castrated, likely for a royal court.

We know from Genesis 1 and 2 that the categories of male and female are a part of God’s design for humanity. Indeed, when God created the first human pair in his image, he created them male and female (Gen. 1:27). He made the woman to be a complement and help to the man (Gen. 2:18-22). Far from being a mere cultural construct, God depicts the existence of a man and a woman as essential to his divine plan in creation. The two are neither identical nor interchangeable. But when the woman, who was taken out of man, joins again with the man in sexual union, the two become one flesh (Gen. 1:23-24). Here is a beautiful connection suggested.  Dividing the human race into two genders, male and female—one or the other, not both, and not one then the other. It was God’s pattern

This is why male and female are (uniquely) the type of pair that can reproduce (Gen. 1:28; 2:20). It’s why homosexuality—a man lying with a man as with a woman (Lev. 18:22)—is wrong. It’s why the apostle Paul can speak of homosexual partnerships as deviating from the natural relations or natural function of male-female sexual intercourse (Rom. 1:26-27).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

There is gender confusion spreading all over out land, and much of this is rooted from and in our educational establishments. But we should see clearly in the Bible that men should not act sexually as women (Lev. 18:22; Rom. 1:18-32; 1 Cor. 6:9-10), that men should not dress like women (Deut. 22:5), and that when men and women embrace obviously other-gendered expressions of identity it is a disgrace (1 Cor. 11:14-15). We do not have an inalienable right to do whatever we want with our physical selves. We belong to God and should glorify him with our bodies (1 Cor. 6:19-20).  As our Catechism says: The chief end of man is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever.

The expenses of treating the transgenders, medically and psychologically with huge sums of money the tax payers are paying are escalating, and yet we have educational institutions pushing it, because they say it is what some need to be happy and fulfilled starting even with the earliest education.

In our nation we need to turn to common sense, something that was basic in the formation of this land and away from the WOKE-PROGRESSIVE indoctrination in our educational establishments.

In an article by Adam Pelser in the “Christian Research Journal, vol 41, #5, 2018” there is an article entitled, “Thomas Reid: Minister, Philosopher and Champion of Common Sense” where he gives a true summary of Reid’s philosophical thinking as it relates to common sense.  

Reid entered ministry in the Church of Scotland, which appointed him minister of New Machar in 1737.  Reid made lasting contributions to many areas of philosophy, but his most important contributions include his “common sense.       

For COMMON SENSE PHILOSOPHY Reid maintained that all good philosophy must begin with the first principles of common sense. Any philosophical theory that would force us to give up first principles must be rejected as not only false but also absurd. He explains, “It is a bold philosophy that rejects, without ceremony, principles which irresistibly govern the belief and the conduct of all mankind in the common concerns of life, and to which the philosopher himself must yield, after he imagines he hath confuted them. Such principles are older, and of more authority, than Philosophy: she rests upon them as her basis, not they upon her. If she could overturn them, she must be buried in their ruins.” Reid fathered the Common Sense school of Scottish Philosophy.

For Reid there was the PERCEPTION VIA NATURAL SIGNS. So, when we experience the sensation of touching a hard table for example, the sensation or feeling that we experience naturally and immediately causes us to think of the table as hard and to believe that the hard table exists — not because our sensation resembles the hard table but simply because God created us to form such a belief when we experience the corresponding sensation.

REID-INSPIRED PHILOSOPHY AND CHRISTIAN APOLOGETICS.  Contemporary Christian philosophers and apologists have made extensive use of Reid’s epistemological insights.

In particular, the approach to religious knowledge known as “reformed epistemology” is Reidian through and through. Adam Pelser observed that  Alvin Plantinga and Nicholas Wolterstorff, the two primary champions of reformed epistemology, have argued extensively that belief in God can be rational and warranted even in the absence of arguments proving the existence of God.

When you add up all the destructive factors in something like transgenderism, there is no way it can be counted as positive, not just because it is condemned by the message of the Bible, but how on earth does any thinking person fail to see that it doesn’t add up to something that should be promoted as many of the left are presently doing, even to young children, as some of which I mentioned earlier in this article are doing!   We just need moral math!
