We Need to Overcome the Biased Indoctrination of Woke Education

Wokeism is a child of social activism and the amoral understanding of humanity.  It is the celebration within our educational systems that promotes division rather than unity, chaos rather than responsibility, and the promoting of a real attack on the commands of God, the Judeo-Christian understanding of God, and all the Ten Commandments, especially the tenth commandment that says: “Thou shall not covet.”

The woke crowd wants to have free speech to indoctrinate students, but they reject the teaching of Scripture that goes to the heart of the situation, the liberty that comes from Jesus, which is very much anathema to them.  True free speech is not a friend to indoctrination, but true free speech is that in accord with God, not a perversion of it.  The Lord Jesus has said, “I will come to make you free, and if make you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36)   This is a living free speech.

Woke education is but a type of indoctrination. Our educational sounding board to see what is happening in America proclaims woke thinking as  freedom, when in essence it has become indoctrination to wokeism in the minds of our children, youth, adults, and to our society itself.   So much education all the way from pre-school through college and on should be set up not just to impart and develop knowledge, but it has become as much an indoctrination of our society toward the progressive idea of a so-called “classless” society.  We need to overcome this biased way of thinking in education, and one example is to overcome wokeism.

The Marxist view of history is that history is governed by universal laws and that according to these laws, a society moves through a series of stages, with the transition between stages being driven by class struggle, which becomes a tool to set up their so-called classes, preying on discontent to set up the ideological socialist state or ultimately communism.  But the fact is that we are not classes, as we are individuals!

In every historical instance where communism has been introduced into democratic countries, they have all swiftly changed to totalitarian dictatorships of a single leader benefiting from what can be called a cult of personality, looking to a leader or director as the determiner of their governments, an apparent solution that never works.  The American constitution of set up to avoid this, if we look to the true teaching of it.

Wokeism’s children today in the educational domain are critical race theory and radical racialism.  Wokeism is a child of social activism and the amoral understanding of humanity.  It is the celebration within our educational systems that seeks to appear positive, but that ultimately promotes division rather than unity, chaos rather than responsibility, and of promoting a real attack on the commands of God, the Judeo-Christian understanding of God and the Ten Commandments, especially the tenth that states that: “Thou shall not covet”.

It is to set a mindset of dissatisfaction about what others might have and what individuals want for themselves. It preys on discontent.  It is the affirmation, of what many have wished to see as the death of God in the minds of our world, and in this process, we are seeing set up an amoral or really as reverse morality, more than just immorality that is very much indoctrinated through progressivism.

One way of giving the appearance of being moral, when ultimately it promotes immorality in this concept of what the leftist thinkers classify as “Hate Speech,” to reject rejection of their speech or life styles.

What is hate speech and how is it determined?  It has become something that sets people into individual categories, so as the control them, which is not good.

Public schools should not teach material that slants truth and ignores most all other truth, so as to promote a social revolution, a social revolution wishing the destruction of our Judeo-Christian culture.

Isn’t it sad that in our society the minority who promote things that are very just against the teaching of the Bible are given the blessing of many institutions to promote their life styles and think, while condemning the Judeo-Christian values on which our nation was founded.

Back when I studied philosophy at UNC, I learned every ideology has a basic presupposition. The presupposition that is basic to our land is not that God created white people, black people or any other category, but the whole “We,” for there are all types of all variations or different characteristics that might relate to each individual, and our rights are not given by the state, but by God.

People are not categories, but they are individuals.   A person can be can be old, young, tall, short, weighty, thin, dark-skinned, light-skinned, frizzy-haired, straight-haired, and so on, but our appearance does not make us what we are. Putting people in categories is most destructive!

However, being classified as being in a minority and calling they are being discriminated against is being implanted by those who promote “wokeism” that those to whom the wish pertains are to be given different statuses, not because of being a person, but by fitting into certain groups that are wish to say they have been discriminated against.

True free speech is not a friend to indoctrination, especially those who promote indoctrination under guise of free speech, but our society is mistaking true free speech to be rejected while promoting a type of speech that is basically false.  It is not hate speech to stand against falsehood and this does not mean that an individual hates someone because they reject his verbiage or behavior, and negative behavior.  Falsehood can be indoctrinated, just as God’s spiritual truths can be indoctrinated!

Rather than provide the broader framework for disagreement, free speech itself has become a source of contention. Nowhere is this more true than in schools, on college and university campuses, and we see the terms microaggressions, trigger warnings, and safe spaces becoming increasingly mainstream, introducing a new vocabulary for defining acceptable limits on speech. In classes there are all kinds new so-called pronouns that various sex groups insist on being called, and if an individual doesn’t call the pronoun they prefer, they call out “hate speech.”

One way of giving the appearance of being moral, when ultimately it promotes immorality is the concept of “hate speech,” to accuse others of hate speech toward you or your group.  But what is hate speech and how is it determined?  It is totally subjective. Yet, It has become something that categorizes people into various categories, so as the control them, which is not good.

Something observed as to what can be called hate speech may be offensive and hurtful to an individual; and it is generally protected by the First Amendment. However, this right should go not just the to one about whom it addressed, but as well an individual’s right to speak his or her mind.  One common definition of hate speech can be is “any form of expression through which speakers intend to vilify, humiliate or incite hatred against a group or a class of persons on the basis of race, religion, skin color, sexual identity, gender identity, ethnicity, disability or national origin,” and courts have ruled that restrictions on hate speech would conflict with the First Amendment’s protection of the freedom of expression. Since public schools are bound by the First Amendment, public schools must seek to adhere to these rulings, how this is interpreted creates a problem.

However, this does not mean that public schools should teach material that slants truth and ignores most all other truth, when really it is seeking to promote a social revolution. The projections of the “Critical Race Theory” and the promotion of “Radical Racism” is that they wish to create a platform of racial hatred rather than racial harmony. Tom Fitton, whom I will quote later in this article states that:  “Leftists really do believe it is their job to tell your children what to think.  They think it is none of parents business what to teach our kids, and they won’t stop until the kids are fully indoctrinated.   This is a wolf in sheep’s clothing!

Isn’t it sad that in our society the minority who promote things that are much against the teaching of the Bible as they give their blessings to promote their life styles and think, while condemning the Judeo-Christian values on which our nation was founded.

The Bible gives good guidelines as it declares that what the Christian religion has determined as sinful behavior guidelines are rooted in the idea that sinful behavior leads to bondage whereas obedience to Christ leads to freedom.   Galatians 5:1 well states that for us to “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”  The Bible as well directs us to avoid cursing, lying, deception, filthy language, slander, and any evil talk that tears others down, as Colossians 3:8-9 states that: “But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds.” This stands Biblical view is in blatant opposition to how free speech is promoted by those who believe or promote “wokeism”.

In the message from Tom Fitton in the January 2023 publication of Judicial Watch, he observed that: “Our schools and other institutions are under attack.  More importantly, our fundamental values and everything we cherish about our proud nation is under siege, and if you have a child or grandchild in school, I urge you to take note of what they are being taught and carefully review…the shocking details of what we have uncovered about the shocking details about the Marxist inspired teaching of the Critical Race Theory…, and they won’t stop until the kids are fully indoctrinated.”  He also mentions how the “radical racialism” travels along with it.  The Judicial Watch is fighting this and is one organization that is standing up and fighting this demonic force.

It is a time when we as Christians need to get off the sidelines and stand against this perversion through woke education that is sweeping over our land at this time.  We need to wake up and overcome the indoctrination of woke education in our schools and in our land, as many states are seeking to do right now, although our present administration is very much behind  these movements. May God help us!
