A 19 June 2013 article on VirtueOnline titled “PERTH, Scotland: Statement from the gathering of Church of Scotland Evangelicals” reports that a 14 June 2013 press release from the Church of Scotland Evangelical Network announced that a 14 June 2013 gathering of 250 evangelicals from the Church of Scotland in Perth, Scotland, formed a network of evangelicals who have made the clear decision to remain in the Church of Scotland and to work for its reformation and renewal.
The press release said:
“We believe that the Church of Scotland remains an important vehicle for reaching the whole population of Scotland with the Gospel and, despite recent decisions, believe that God is still at work among us. We also believe that we can remain with integrity.
“We urge others to join with us and to remain in the Church of Scotland, as we seek to restore and rebuild our Church.”

[2] Oregon Planned Parenthood Conference Provides Valentine Cards for Teens
The May 2013 Oregon Adolescent Sexuality Conference in Seaside, Oregon, guided in large part by Planned Parenthood and by Brad Victor, a “sexuality education expert” with the Oregon Education Department, provided valentine cards for teens with messages including:
“Roses are red, violets are blue, I’m wearing my NuvaRing, now I’m ready for you.”
“You’re like my birth control implant . . . I’ve got you under my skin.”
“The only thing that can come between us is a condom!”
“My love for you is like the IUD, long lasting and dependable!”
An attendee from the American Life League wrote of the conference:
“The content of the talks presented to teens brought in from fourteen school districts was shocking and reprehensible beyond belief. It encouraged sex, discouraged chastity by making it seem impossible and odd, worked hard to normalize immorality and perversion, and bashed Christianity. The handouts that were available belonged to the same genre.”

Menard Zvenyika of the Pamushana congregation (Reformed Church in Zimbabwe ) (RCZ) in Nyika, Zimbabwe is named in a sex scandal accusing Zvenyika of twice impregnating his housemaid and inducing her to abort the two pregnancies.
The Pamushana church’s elders have accused the RCZ leadership of attempting to downplay the scandal and have prepared a petition to RCZ moderator which includes:
“As a matter of urgency, please kindly reinstitute a new team of investigators who are honest, reliable, God-fearing and who are drawn from all the other bodies of the church to bring a balance. A team dominated by ministers of religion has proved problematic.”

[8] Reformed Church in America Removes Conscience Clause on Women Ministers from Book of Church Order
During the 20 June 2013 session of the 2013 General Assembly of the Reformed Church in America (RCA), the assembly officially ratified the removal of the “conscience clauses” from the Book of Church Order (BCO). The 2012 RCA General Synod voted to remove from the BCO the “conscience clauses”–statements that spell out how RCA members can and cannot conscientiously object to the ordination process of women.
Between the 2012 and 2013 assembly meetings, the required two-thirds of RCA classes voted in support of synod’s action, with thirty-one classes voting in favor of removing the clauses and fourteen voting to keep the clauses.
Originally adopted in 1980, the “conscience clauses” were intended to maintain unity and peace despite a diversity of opinion concerning the ordination of women, which had been adopted by the RCA in 1979.
