Walk in the Ways of the Lord

A Kingdom Catechism

God’s Word shows us how we must walk in Him.

Q 68: How do the redeemed of the Lord walk in all the ways of the Lord?

A 68: The redeemed of the Lord walk in all His ways by laying aside every sinful practice and putting on the righteousness of the Lord by obedience to all His Word. (Lev. 18:1-5; Eph. 4:17-24)

Jesus has shown us the way we should walk in this life—according to the Law and Word of God (Matt. 5:17-19; 1 John 2:1-6). Believers are called “disciples”—“learners”—because they devote themselves to hiding the Word of Christ in their heart and seeking the filling and power of the Spirit to obey everything that Jesus commands (Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). Our lives as those who profess to believe in the Lord can only be in vain unless we apply ourselves with all diligence to learning and doing the Law and Word of God as Jesus did.
