The Church of Scotland could be set to approve same-sex weddings in its churches after a majority of presbyteries indicated their support ahead of the General Assembly next month.

A framework for how ministers could officiate same-sex ceremonies was drawn up last year, and the Assembly is set for a final vote on whether to implement the legislation.

Of the forty-one presbyteries in the Kirk, almost three quarters (twenty-nine) said they would support the change, with just twelve opposed.

It would be like cigarette companies calling themselves ‘anticancer.’ Nope. Sorry. Doesn’t work. In New York City, where the nation’s largest chain of abortion violence is headquartered, more black babies have been aborted than born alive for decades! Planned Parenthood calls this ‘reproductive justice.’ They kill 318 black lives every single day (calculated by multiplying Planned Parenthood’s 345,672 abortions in latest report by the CDC’s 33.6 percent of abortions on black babies.) Fannie Lou Hamer, famed anti-poverty and voting rights activist, called abortion a ‘genocide’ among blacks. We echo her sentiments. For the nation’s largest abortion and baby-parts-trafficking chain, only some black lives matter. You can’t denounce violence and racism when you are violence and racism. … So don’t be fooled by Big Abortion. They may have a billion-dollar budget, but we have the Truth. Don’t let an industry rooted in human destruction fool you into thinking it cares about violence. … They are who they are: violence wrapped up in pink banners and ludicrous hashtags. There is real healthcare at over 13,000 (taxpayer-funded) federally qualified health centers and community health centers that don’t commit the violence of abortion.”

[3] Dutch Doctors Can Euthanize Elderly without Their Agreement Pertaining to Time and Manner

The following is excerpted from “Dutch Doctors Can Now Secretly Place Sedatives in Food,” Christian Headlines, Nov. 25, 2020: “[A] Netherlands medical committee has changed its code of practice to allow doctors to slip sedatives into the food or drink of patients with dementia before they are euthanized so as to prevent them from becoming ‘disturbed, agitated or

aggressive.’ The change in rules by the Netherlands review committee for euthanasia comes after the country’s Supreme Court ruled in April that a doctor who carried out assisted suicide on a seventy-four-year-old patient with Alzheimer’s did not commit murder by placing a sedative into the patient’s coffee. The patient woke up and had to be held down by her

daughter and husband, the BBC reported. The patient previously had written a statement saying she ‘wanted to be euthanized before entering a care home,’ but adding that she wanted to decide ‘while still in my senses and

when I think the time is right,’ the BBC said. The new rules say it ‘is not necessary for the doctor to agree with the patient [about] the time or manner in which euthanasia will be given,’ according to The Guardian. … Ethicist

Wesley J. Smith criticized the new rule, saying a doctor should not be able to decide ‘why and when’ a patient dies. ‘Once a society accepts killing as an acceptable response to human suffering,’ Smith wrote, ‘there are no

outer boundaries limiting where the killing will ultimately go. Those with eyes to see, let them see.’”

[3] Duke Divinity School Blasphemously Worships “The Great Queer One”

Duke Divinity School, a bastion of apostasy, is one of thirteen seminaries associated with the United Methodist Church. It was founded in 1924 with an endowment by tobacco magnate James Duke. The following is excerpted from “Duke Divinity School,” The College Fix, Apr. 20, 2022: “A recent worship service cohosted by Duke Divinity School and the Duke Divinity Pride student organization invited students to praise the ‘great queer one.’’ ‘We want to affirm everyone to be who they truly are,’ second year Master of Divinity student Caroline Camp began. ‘To step into the holy one’s fire that burns away all that says we are not good enough and refines us by the Pentecostal fire to be who exactly the great queer one calls us to be. Let the spirit move you today, lift your hands and voices and dance in whatever way is most freeing to you.’ The one-hour March 22 ‘service of word’ took place in Goodson Chapel, described as the center of worship life at Duke Divinity School. A video of the event on YouTube shows several dozen in attendance. … Camp, in her opening prayer, praised a God she described as ‘strange one, fabulous one, fluid and ever becoming one.’ ‘Do not allow us to make our ideas of you into an idol,’ Camp said. ‘You are as close to us

as our own breath, and yet your essence transcends all that we can imagine. You are mother, father, and parent. You are sister, brother, and sibling. You are drag queen and trans man and genderfluid, incapable of limiting your vast expressions of beauty, embodied in us, your creation.’ We recognize

our flesh, in all its forms, is made holy in you. With thanksgiving, we celebrate your manifestation in all its glorious forms.’ … Third-year Master of Divinity student Tirzah Villegas told the audience that ending her

relationship with the ‘white male god’ of her childhood allowed her to begin another ‘with a deliciously queer god who loved in scandalous ways and created us for pleasure and wholeness.’ … Event co-sponsor and student

group Divinity Pride, which describes its main purpose as affirming the ‘dignity, faithfulness, and strength of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans,

Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and gender/sexuality non-conforming Christians,’ is part of a broader push that seeks to redefine orthodox Christianity–and to redefine God.” The apostle Peter prophesied of these things: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
